Jean Allfrey Connors
Brookline, NH – Jean Allfrey Connors, 86, of 15 Main Street, Brookline, NH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at her home surrounded by close family and friends.
Jean A. Connors was born August 9, 1928, daughter of Phillip J. Allfrey and Helen (Gates) Allfrey of Malden, MA. Jean lived in Malden, MA, throughout her youth and in her early twenties married Malcolm E. Connors and took residence in Tewskbury, MA, Reading, MA, and subsequently with a family that grew to include four children, relocated to Brookline, NH, in 1975 where the family resided for forty years.
She was the adored mother of Katherine J. Connors of Brookline, NH, Douglas E. Connors (Deceased) David M. Connors of Stuart, FL, and Patricia Coleman of Merrimack, NH; Beloved sister of Marie Remson, of Meredith, NH, and Phillip J. Allfrey Jr. of NC, her surviving siblings. She was a grandmother to five and had eight great-grandchildren.
Jean was an accomplished ceramics artist, owning and operating a ceramic store in Reading, MA, prior to moving to Brookline, where she taught 4-H and ceramic classes for many years. She shared a remarkable wit and sharp mind as a loving mother, compassionate friend, and confidant. Jean and her deceased husband, Malcom "Duke" Connors, were kind souls, always there to offer heartfelt assistance and an open door to people and an array of animals alike. A home and sustenance were unconditionally shared with all, her hallmark of a life well lived.
A memorial service will be held on August 9th, 2015, at the Brookline Community Church, 2 Main Street, Brookline, NH, at 1 pm.
