Hollis girl swims to pair of NE titles
Fifty-eight teams throughout New England sent their fastest swimmers to compete in the New England Swimming 10-and-Under
Championships recently at Wheaton College. The YMCA of Greater Nashua Storm’s Cambria Jewett, age 10 from Hollis, claimed two New England titles by placing first in the 50-yard backstroke and the 100-yard backstroke. She now ranks 54th in the country for the 100 back. She also placed third and fourth in the 50-yard butterfly and the 100 yard butterfly, respectively.
Other swimmers from Storm also placed with Dylan Jewett, age 10, from Hollis, placing sixth in New England in the 100-yard breaststroke, and eighth in the 100 individual medley. Emily Theriault, age 10 from Merrimack, placed 11th in the 50 yard backstroke and 15th in the 50 yard butterfly.
