Richard William Lowrance

Richard William Lowrance, age 35, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 5, 2016. He was born on July 15, 1981 in Ridgewood, NJ and a longtime resident of Hollis, NH. He is survived by loving parents, David W. Lowrance and Margaret B. Lowrance, two uncles, three aunts and six cousins with families.

Richard graduated from The McCallie School for Boys in Chattanooga, TN in 2000 and from Mars Hill University in NC with a BS in Political Science in 2004. Following University training, he taught Western Cultures at Jilin University Medical School in Chan Chun, China and later studied at The London School of Economics. He was a young entrepreneur with two emerging technology start-up companies, and worked on national political GOP campaigns staffs, including State Director for a 2016 US Presidential candidate.

He broke an NRA pistol shooting record at age 13, was an Eagle Scout, competitive swimmer, hiked over forty 4,000 foot mountains and participated in four National and International BSA Jamborees in Holland and Chile from 1993-1999. Richard was a Brotherhood member of The Order of the Arrow, a Nashua Freemason, a dedicated Bektash Shriner and served on the Board of Habitat for Humanity. He had a very kind heart with a quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Richard accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at age 11.

A public service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11 am at The Congregational Church of Hollis, NH where family will greet relatives and friends.
