Raymond Kranz

Raymond Kranz, 69, of Merrimack passed away on Friday May 12th, 2017 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after his courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was born in Queens, NY on February 21, 1948 to the late Joseph and Frances (Cappo) Kranz. He was a graduate of Sewanaka High School and graduated from Queensborough Community College with his degree in business.

Raymond was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served from 1968 – 1974. He was employed by AT&T for 32 years from which he retired in 1998.

Since then, he had spent his time doing those things he enjoyed most which included gardening and landscaping, building model ships and planes, HO scale trains, paint by numbers, and his crossword puzzles. He especially loved spending time with his cherished family.

Along with his parents, Raymond was predeceased by a brother, Michael Kranz.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Susan Kranz; a daughter, Diane Habhegger of Merrimack NH, a daughter Debra Taylor and her husband Jason Taylor of Hudson, NH and a son Rob Kranz and his wife Elisabeth of Leominster MA; his six grandchildren that were his pride and joy, Casey and Riley Habhegger, Cole and Darian Taylor and Chase and Reese Kranz. Also, a brother Larry Kranz, a sister in law and her husband, Arlene and John Boross and a brother in law and his wife, Bob and Judy Stuart along with his adored nieces and nephew, Lisa Federmack and her husband John, Tracy Stecker and her fiancé Ray Sacripanti, Loreen Aller and her husband Alex and Steven Cappo and his wife Kristine and all of their families. Raymond also held a special place in his heart for Lauren Habhegger.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 16, 2017 in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, Fr. Paul Bouchard was the celebrant. Burial follow at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
