Richard R. Randlett

Richard Ross Randlett, age 87 passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was born on December 8, 1931 in Milton, Massachusetts to Frederick and Rose (Merrifield) Randlett.

He leaves his devoted wife of 62 years, Roberta McFaul Randlett. They met and were married at the First Parish of Westwood United Church in Westwood, MA on June 2, 1956. Family members include, Rajean Mederios of Northbridge, MA, Kimberlie Hoffman of Epsom, NH, Ross Randlett of Annandale, VA, Kirk and Suzanne Randlett of Brookline NH, Jay and Dina Randlett of Kempner, TX and Scott Randlett of Mineral VA.

They lived for many years in Massachusetts and Virginia, before retiring to Brookline, NH.

Richard graduated from Milton High School in 1949, served in the Coast Guard from 1950-1952; Graduated from Boston University with a degree in Mathmatics and a Master’s in Education in 1955. He served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957.

Richard began his teaching career as a high school math teacher, and moved into college administration, first with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and finally as the Registrar of Boston University. In 1976 he joined the Association of American Medical Colleges, as the Director of Student Services, a position he held until his retirement in 1996.

During his retirement years he remained an active member of his community. He served on the Brookline Planning Board for over 18 years. A long time member of the Milford United Methodist Church, Richard served on the Administrative Council, White Tops, Stephen Ministry and served others faithfully as the head greeter and usher.

Richard was an avid gardener, had a passion for reading, photography/video, genealogy and wood working.

He had a great love of his family, along with his wife, children and their significant others, Richard leaves 15 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and cousins. Not to mention the many friends he and his wife shared their lives with.

On May 19th at 2:00 PM a Celebration of Life will be held at the Milford United Methodist Church 327 North River Rd, Milford, NH. A private burial to be conducted at a later date.
