Debra A. (Grasso) Kane

Debra A. (Grasso) Kane, 61, of Merrimack formally of Leominster MA, passed away at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA surrounded by her family after being stricken ill at her home on July 20, 2017.

Debra (Debby) was born March 17, 1956 in Leominster, MA daughter of Frederick Grasso and Shirley (Lancey) Grasso. She grew up in Leominster and graduated from Leominster High School, class of 1974. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree from Franklin Pierce College in Management-Marketing. Debby began her career at the Digital Equipment Corp. in 1976 and subsequently worked for Compaq Computer and Hewlett Packard for 26 years. Most recently she was employed by Red Hat, Inc. a resource software company in Westford, MA retiring in 2015.

Debby was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her various gardens at her former home in Nashua and her new home in Merrimack. She enjoyed traveling, most recently to Italy and vacationing locally along the coast of Maine and New Hampshire. Debby loved to entertain and cook for others and was most happy spending time with her friends and family, enjoying good food and conversation while listening to great music. Debby will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

She is survived by her brothers Michael and Fred Grasso of Leominster, sisters Karen Lundberg and her husband Eric of Ashburnham, Laurie Caisse and her husband Chris of Leominster, step mother Marie Grasso and step brother John Erickson of Raleigh, North Carolina, nieces and nephews Jennifer Monahan, Jessica Ehnstrom, Kurt, Katie and Kyle Caisse. She was predeceased by her mother Shirley (Lancey) Grasso, her father Frederick Grasso and brother Vincent Grasso.
