Goss Park
This photo, from 1979, was taken at Goss Park, the Wilton and Lyndeboroough summer recreation area that was created in the 1950s after Jennie M. Goss contributed 14 acres for community recreation use. Over the years facilities grew to include a pavilion, snack bar, basketball court, tennis court, playground, baseball field, beach volleyball court, and a deep water slide. The waterfront offers swimming lanes, diving boards, and docks for jumping and diving, and the swim team competes with other area towns at meets, including the Milford Rotary Swim Meet this weekend.
