West Side of the Oval

This is another Bernice Perry photo of the Milford Oval, the west side, where the state liquor store was originally located. A few years after the 18th amendment was repealed in 1933, New Hampshire set up a commission for selling beverages of over 6 percent alcohol content and opened a state store in the Krush block on west side of Union Square, according to ‘The Granite Town,’ by Winifred Wright.
