Ross Jensen

BROOKLINE – Ross Jensen, 87, a lifelong resident of Brookline, NH, died at home on August 14, 2021. He was born in Brookline on October 16, 1933 to Alton C. and Elizabeth C. (Whitcomb) Jensen.

Ross enlisted in the military in 1956, serving in the Army and National Guard until 1962. He was proud to have marched in the 1957 Eisenhower inauguration color guard. An accomplished carpenter, he was also a chicken farmer, softball pitcher for the Brookline Aces, a 27-year member of the Brookline Fire Department, little league coach, cribbage player, skier and golfer. He enjoyed traveling but preferred being home in Brookline.

He was predeceased by his two children, Curt and Sara; a stepson, Mark Chandler; and five siblings, Catherine, Kenneth, Ruth, Charlotte and Marlene.

Ross leaves his wife with whom he would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on August 16th, Joyce A. (Ashford) Jensen; four children (from his former marriage to Doris (McCormack) McDonald, Gary, Eric (Helen), Mary (Jonathan), Kris (Linda); three stepchildren, Timothy (Trish), Peter and Cathy; and eleven grandchildren. He also leaves many nephews and nieces and a large extended family.

There are no visiting hours. Funeral services will be at the Brookline Community Church, on Friday, August 20th at 10:00am with burial immediately following at Pine Grove Cemetery.
