Orders being taken for St. Philip Church ‘pop-up’ food festival

NASHUA – The format is quite different than the years when St. Philip Church’s annual Greek Food Festival was a two-day event that drew thousands of folks from well beyond Greater Nashua, but the Greek-inspired culinary delights offered at this year’s “pop-up” version of the festival are guaranteed to taste at least as good as it did back then.

Pre-ordering is now underway for St. Philip’s Pop-Up Greek Food Festival, a new take on a modified version of the festival first unveiled in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For more information and to place an order, go to www.nashuagreekfestival.com and click on the “order now” button, which brings up ordering instructions and a menu of items that will be available this year.

Pre-ordering is open through April 30. Pickup day is May 14. Customers are asked to choose a pickup time when pre-ordering.

Regrettably, there’s no outdoor cooking, meaning no lamb or chicken shish kebab will be available.

But other favorites are on the menu, both a la carte and dinner size. Among them are pastitsio, spanakopita, keftedes (Green meatballs) and, of course, baklava.

Also for sale is the Ladies AGAPE Society’s cookbook, a collection of recipes and instructions on “how to learn to cook and bake like the Greeks.”
