Santa to visit Bedford Men’s Club Christmas tree sale
Christmas trees are going fast but the Bedford Men’s Club still has trees for sale. There are 9-foot to 10-foot-tall trees for that big room you may have.
Santa will be at the Bedford Men’s Club Christmas tree sale from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Dec. 13, for children to visit and give him their Christmas list. Moms and dads can bring their camera to get photos while they pick out their special tree.
The club is hosting their annual tree sale at the Bedford Village Shops on Route 101. Christmas trees are available for sale with all proceeds going to charity. This holiday tradition has been the main club fundraiser for many years. The New Hampshire-grown trees are for sale in the afternoons, evenings and on weekends in December until they are all sold.
Members of the club man the tree sale each day to help raise money for worthy causes. The money is distributed to programs in Bedford that help support youth sports, education, scholarships and programs that make Bedford a better place to live. Recent programs that have benefited from fundraising efforts are the Bedford Bobcats, The Educational Farm at Joppa Hill, the Bedford Crew Club and Camp Allen. The club also has made the purchase of a defibrillator for the police department, supported the Bedford Barracudas swim team and Boy Scout Eagle award programs.
Other programs are supported, such as the US First program, scholarships for graduating senior high school students from Bedford, Stand By Me at Lurgio Middle School and many other educational programs in town.
Any man over the age of 21 who lives or works in Bedford is invited to attend a meeting. For more information, visit the website at www.bedfordmensclub.com.
