Bedford Rotary Memorial Road Race to be held Saturday

The Rotary Club of Bedford invites you to its 42nd Bedford Rotary Memorial Road Race on Saturday, May 21.

This family-oriented 5K, 12K and kids race offers a family-fun atmosphere with modern timekeeping and race management services for the more serious runner.

With patriotic pre-race ceremonies, friends and neighbors line the race routes to cheer on their favorite runner and then meet up at the post-race party tent to enjoy food and drink from T-Bones, The Wine’ing Butcher and Sam Adams.

For the little ones from ages 2-6, there is a race for them to join the fun! Two heats, one for ages 2-4 and another for ages 5-6, will start at 11:30 a.m. The kids will run inside the perimeter of Sportsmen’s Field near the town pool. All participants will receive a ribbon award and refreshments. Penny the Panda will be there to cheer the kids on.

All kids race proceeds will benefit the Bedford Children’s Library Technology Program.

The 12K starting gun fires at 9 a.m. and the 5K at 9:30a.m., both from Bedford High School. The Kids Race is at 11:30 a.m.

For more information about all race day events and happenings, visit www.BedfordRotaryRaces.com. You may register at that site for any of the races by following the "register now" ink.
