Amherst woman top fundraiser for Nashua walk

NASHUA – Amherst resident Marge Curry was honored for her remarkable work as a fundraiser for multiple sclerosis research and services.

Curry and her team, Team Cathleen, were the top fundraisers for the latest Walk MS: Nashua.

Walk MS: Nashua offers a 3- or 5-mile walk that raises money for the National MS Society, which provides funding for research and programs for people living with multiple sclerosis.

This year, Curry reached the level of Super Star Fundraiser when she brought in $15,907. Team Cathleen raised a total of $19,257, making them the highest fundraising team in New Hampshire in 2014.

Since Team Cathleen first began walking together in 2009, its members have raised more than $76,000.

The National MS Society celebrated Curry’s and Team Cathleen’s output recently at the annual MS Shining Stars dinner in Concord.
