On July 9, The Bedford Fire Department released Nixle alert, warning residents of a natural gas leak at 17 Commerce Drive in Bedford around 10 a.m. That same day, a separate emergency alert occured over a gas main break at at 4 Technology Drive, off of South River Road, across from the Irving Gas Station. According to an emergency report, around 11 a.m., the gas company was on scene, and the gas leak was shut off and under control. At around 11:30 a.m., The Bedford Police Deparment confirmed that Commerce Drive was reopened and safe again for the public.
