New Hampshire Food Bank to host Bakin’ A Difference

As part of Hunger Action Month, the New Hampshire Food Bank is hosting Bakin’ A Difference on Thursday, Sept. 13, with master pastry chef, author and baking instructor Gesine Bullock-Prado.

Open to the public and held in the Food Bank’s culinary kitchen, the event will feature a baking demonstration by Bullock-Prado followed by a book signing. Each guest will receive a copy of Gesine’s latest cookbook, “Pie It Forward.”

Bullock-Prado, author of the baking memoir “My Life from Scratch” and cookbooks “Sugar Baby” and “Pie It Forward,” lives on a historical farm in Hartford, Vt., with three dogs, seven chickens, 13 Indian Runner ducks, nine geese and her husband. She uses her animals’ eggs and milk from the farm in her commercial bakery. Bullock-Prado teaches regularly at the King Arthur Flour Education Center, and she has appeared on the “Today” show, “The Revolution,” “Fox and Friends,” the “Rachael Ray Show” and the Food Network.
