BWC, Talbots plan fundraiser

An opportunity to shop for fall styles and to support Bedford charities and scholarships will take place from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Talbots in Bedford Square, 25 South River Road. Talbots will donate 10 percent of pre-tax sales to the Bedford Women’s Club. For more information, email Beverly Jo Snyder at bwcbedfordnh@gmail.com.

Each year the BWC donates to local 501(c)(3) organizations that impact the Bedford community. Requests will be reviewed by the Charitable Donations Committee; reviewed by the BWC Board at its March 2017 meeting; and presented and voted upon by the BWC membership at the April business meeting. Disbursements will be made in May 2017. In 2016, BWC made contributions to Meals on Wheels, UpReach, the Bedford Historical Society, Liberty House, the Bedford Library, and Stand By Me. The request form can be found at www.bedfordwomensclub.org.

The BWC has awarded scholarships for more than 50 years and offers college scholarships to graduating high school seniors and non-traditional-age women enrolled in a degree program. Candidates must be residents of Bedford.
