Two charged in death of Bedford teen

BEDFORD — Heather Keegan, 55, of Bedford and a 17-year-old boy were taken into custody on Aug. 19 in connection with the death of Tyson Bolduc.

According to the Bedford Police Department, at 8:15 p.m. on June 8, officers responded to Wallace Road and Stagecoach Lane. After arriving at the scene, officers learned that Bolduc, a 17-year-old junior at Bedford High School, had jumped from a moving vehicle.

Bolduc, who was the passenger, was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The preliminary investigation determined that there was an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. The results of a field sobriety test and toxicology report indicated that the 17-year-old driver did not have alcohol in his system when the crash occurred.

However, he has been charged with the transportation of alcohol and having an open container.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face a fine of $150 and have his driver’s license suspended for up to 60 days.

Further investigation revealed that Bolduc and the 17-year-old were at a house party earlier that evening where alcohol was allegedly available to underage attendees.

Keegan, the homeowner, has been charged with facilitating an underage alcohol party.

She is scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack District Court on Sept. 9.

Under state law, Keegan could face up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $2,000.

“This remains a tragic incident and we extend our deepest sympathies to the families involved during this difficult time,” said Bedford Police Chief Daniel Douidi. “We are committed to ensuring justice is served and that we continue to work with schools, parents and community partners to prevent another senseless tragedy.”
