Vermont man charged with wrong way driving

BEDFORD – Benjamin Mueller, 36, of White River Junction, Vt., was taken into custody on Oct. 4 for allegedly driving the wrong way on Interstate 293.

According to State Police, just before 1 a.m., Trooper Madelynn Theve observed Mueller traveling south on the northbound side of the highway.

Theve pulled Mueller over and placed him under arrest without incident.

Mueller has been charged with felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and reckless driving.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack District Court on Nov. 4.

Under state law, if convicted, Mueller could face up to eight years in prison, up to five years of probation, up to $4,500 in fines and having his driver’s license suspended for up to 60 days.
