Bedford man thrown from motorcycle in I-293 crash

MANCHESTER – Youseff Mahgoub, 23, of Bedford, was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 293 during the early-morning hours of June 24.

According to State Police, Mahgoub, who was driving a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500, crashed just before 1:30 a.m. As a result of the impact, he was thrown over a guardrail and landed on the bank of the Merrimack River.

The incident reportedly happened near the Exit 5 off-ramp. Bystanders said they saw the motorcycle on its side and could hear Mahgoub yelling for help.

Mahgoub was ultimately rescued by a Manchester Fire Department boat team and taken to an area hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
