Wilton-Lyndeborough graduates 35 students

WILTON – For the second year, Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative High School graduation was held at the Milford Drive-in theater. The ceremonies were held Saturday morning, June 5, but a little differently than last year.

“We tried to make it as normal as possible,” Principal Peter Weaver said on Monday. “People sat in chairs, not in their cars, and the 42 graduates marched in. We had ‘Pomp and Circumstance.'”

The traditional rose ceremony was held, in which graduates honor family members.

For the first time in memory, a color guard from American Legion presented the flag.

The National Anthem was performed by student guitarist Jacob LeBlanc.

“We also recognized all of those entering the military,” Weaver said. “We recognized all of the veterans.”

Speakers included valedictorian Anabelle Bergstrom, Salutatorian Christie Lanfear, and Class President Samantha Yurcak. The guest speaker was Social Studies teacher Brian Krot.

Class gifts were presented by Yurcak and Bergstrom.

Class advisors were Laura Bujak and Linda Draper.
