Family: Married to Gretchen Gallant.

Occupation: Retired in 2008; last position as Treasury and Finance Manager at BAE Systems.

Education: BA in finance from Bentley College; MBA from Suffolk University.

Political history: First run for elected office. Appointed to the Historical District Commission 2011 to present; and appointed to the Facilities Study Committee in 2008.

Affiliations: Currently a member and treasurer for the BAE Systems Golf League; currently a volunteer for Home Health Hospice (drive patients; pet therapy at the Hospice House; vigils; and in home visit with patients).

Question 1: Why are you running for town treasurer?

I believe in giving back to your community and have become active as a volunteer for the town of Hollis and for the local Hospice group. As treasurer for the town of Hollis, I hope to use my 40-plus years work experience in the area of Finance and Treasury management to assist the town of Hollis in managing its cash requirements.

Q. 2: As town treasurer, what steps would you take to provide more efficient record keeping?

I would plan on reviewing the town’s cash disbursement & collection procedures; and to meet with the town employees who are involved in cash disbursement and cash collection process to understand how they have implemented the procedures related to cash.
