Library has plenty of activities for kids

You’re home with a toddler and your baby, and things couldn’t be crazier. Nothing seems to be stimulating your children at home and you really need to get out yourself. The answer is … come to the library.

The Hollis Social Library is a great place to bring your little ones for a fun, free and easy day out.

There is always something to do here, and ask about our great story times. We have preschool story times, a baby story times (Tiny Tots), after school story times, and tea parties.

Bringing children to story times furthers literacy learning, and also strengthens social skills. Not to mention it will implant a love of reading and books in your children that will help them later on in life.

Along with our programs for babies and toddlers, the Children’s Room is a great place to hang out and relax with your little ones. We have toys, puzzles, puppets, coloring tables and, of course, books. Relax on our window seat and read a board book or one of the books from the new picture book bin to your youngsters. Babies also love to be read to, and it’s never too early to start reading to your children.

After your fun-filled library time you can go and spend some time in the park right next door. There is a great little playground there with swings, a slide, and a jumpy bridge. You can pack a lunch and eat at the picnic tables after Preschool Story Time or Tiny Tots. Come to the Hollis Social Library today and see for yourself what a great time you and your little ones can have.
