Vienna meets Nashua in concert

NASHUA – The First Music Concert Series will continue its fourth season with baritone Steven Scheschareg and pianist Joseph R. Olefirowicz, the First Music director, performing the works of Bernstein, Korngold and Schumann in “Liederkunst – The Art of Song.”

Following their collaboration in a January production of Leonard Bernstein’s “Candide” at the Vienna Volksoper, Scheschareg and Olefirowicz reunite as soloist and conductor, switch their leading roles.

Featuring the compelling Robert Schumann masterpiece “Dichterliebe,” this New Hampshire/Austria collaboration is co-sponsored by the Chamber Series of the Nashua Symphony Orchestra.

The concert will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at The First Church, 1 Concord St. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students younger than 21.
