HB Cavs 2, Salem Strikers 1

The Cavs U13 girls team picked up a victory against Salem on the strength of two goals from Paige Mello. Madeleine Boudreau and McKenna Dunn each contributed an assist during the triumph.

Derry Eagles 6, HB 1

It was a tough season opener for the Cavs U13 boys team this past Saturday at Hardy. Despite going down 2-0 early, they continued to play hard throughout the first half, and had several scoring opportunities just miss the net.

Opening the second half down 3-0, the boys continued their strong effort and Joe Mahoney drilled a PK to get one back for the Cavs. Unfortunately, thats all the boys could muster and ended up losing 6-1 against the Derry Eagles. The U13 team looks to rebound Sunday against Nashua’s World Cup team.
