Field hockey team mum sale Sept. 16

HOLLIS – The Hollis Brookline High School Field Hockey team is once again selling fall mums. They are gorgeous, half-bushel size, locally grown flowers approximately 30-inches diameter, planted in 12-inch pots and placed in a wooden fruit basket. Each one is just $22.

This year’s field hockey team includes over 35 hardworking student-athletes. In addition to their regular season of play, the Hollis Brookline field hockey team also runs free clinics at the elementary schools in both Hollis and Brookline to introduce the sport to future players. The team also hosts a summer field hockey camp for children in grades 1-8. All proceeds from the mum sale go directly to the team and will be used to offset the cost of the growth and development of the program.

The final order date is Saturday, Sept. 16 and flowers will need to be picked up on Thursday, Sept. 21 between 4:30-7 p.m. in front of the high school. HBFH players will be on hand to help you load your car if needed.

If you’d like to buy a basket of mums, please contact a Field Hockey team member or visit www.hbabc.org/mums. The team also will be selling mums at Olde Home Days on Saturday, Sept. 16. Stop by and see these gorgeous flowers in person!
