Tickets for the 2019 Hollis Town Band Pops Concert are now available for purchase from any Hollis Town Band member.  The tickets are $25 each.  Checks must be made out to “Hollis Town Band.” The concert will take place on Sunday, April 7th, at Alpine Grove, on Rt. 111a in Hollis, NH.  The  price includes the band concert and an excellent dessert buffet featuring wonderful baked goods from several area bakeries.  The doors will open at 1:30pm and the Hollis Clarinet Choir will play background music while guests enjoy the dessert buffet.  The Hollis Town Band concert will start at 2:30pm.  This year’s concert is dedicated to the memory of Becky Dixon, a band member who has just recently passed away.  She was a long-time trumpet player with the band.  A special piece featuring four trumpeters will begin the concert in her memory.  Featured pieces include Meditation from Thais for solo flute, played by David Deifik of Nashua, and also Viktor’s Tale from the movie “The Terminal” with clarinet solo played by Andrew Raibeck of Hollis.  Other featured works include Academic Festival by Brahms, The Patriot from the movie of the same name, along with a medley of songs by George Harrison, a medley of music from the movie Grease and other classical and pop favorites.  For more information or to order tickets over the phone please call (603)883-2448.
