Brookline Seeks Volunteer Poll Workers for November Election

You might have heard that we successfully pulled off the Primary Election. That was as always in large part thanks to the skills and diligence of our Town Clerk, Patti Howard-Barnett and our Supervisors of the Checklist, Linda Saari, Karen Roberts and Judy Cook. It also couldn’t have happened without the help of about 15 volunteer poll workers, especially our ballot clerks. Thank you all for your service.

The rumor is true that there’s another election coming up on Tuesday, November 3. We will again need townspeople to help us out. Generally, any Brookliner over 17 can help out at the polls. Ballot clerks, however, are required by law to be an equal number from each party.

We are in particular need of members of the Republican party. No certification of any sort is required; although focus and attention to detail are crucial. It’s a long day. The polls are open from 7am to 7:30pm. We will have several training sessions in advance to explain the procedures.

If you can help on November 3, please let Patti Howard-Barnett (673-8855, ext. 218) know. Thank you.
