HOLLIS – With every swing and every putt, the Friel Memorial Golf Tournament does more than bring golfers together–it helps change lives.

Hosted on Sept. 18 at the Overlook Golf Club, this year’s event welcomed more than 180 golfers for a day of camaraderie, friendly competition and meaningful support for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua.

The tournament wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of Friel Golf Management and the Friel Family. Their continued partnership has helped make this event a highlight of the year–and a powerful way to “help keep kids on course,” the tournament’s guiding mission.

The tournament saw golfers participate in both morning and afternoon flights, enjoying spirited play, on-course games, prizes, a raffle and a grand prize of an all-expenses-paid trip to Nashville, Tenn.

“We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, participants, and especially the Friel Family for their unwavering support,” said Meghan Fitzgerald, senior director of Advancement at the Boys & Girls Club. “Every dollar raised helps us provide a safe, enriching environment for our community’s youth to grow, learn and thrive.”

During the tournament, the club honored its 2025 Youth of the Year, Tiana Brown, who represented New Hampshire at the Northeast Regional Youth of the Year competition and emerged as the winner. While she didn’t take home the national title, Brown represented the region with remarkable authenticity and the club. All the golfers were cheering her on every step of the way.

Sponsors play a vital role in the tournament’s success, with Tulley Automotive Group serving as this year’s lead sponsor. Additional support was provided by Main Street Private Wealth Management, Southern New Hampshire Health, Toyota of Nashua, the Market Basket/Demoulas Foundation and more than 45 more local businesses and individuals. Proceeds from the event directly benefit Boys & Girls Club programs that support academic success, leadership development and healthy lifestyles for local youth.
