Nashua singer reaches 1,000th anthem

NASHUA – Alan St.Louis, of Nashua, has been singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" publicly at such a feverish pace, he reached his 1,000th performance six months earlier than the goal date that he set 4.5 years ago.

His final performance on New Year’s Eve day for the Saint Anselm College men’s basketball game in Manchester in front of more than 900 fans helped St.Louis close 2015 with a milestone that has never been accomplished. But he is not done yet. Still with six months to go, he has more than 100 performances scheduled between now and April, and he hopes to add many more to finish his five-year plan in July.

St.Louis has been invited to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" for the 108th inauguration for the city of Nashua on Sunday, Jan. 10, at Nashua High School North.

He continues singing at many local schools, including Rivier University, Daniel Webster College, and Nashua High North and South. He will also continue singing for Southern New Hampshire University, Saint Anselm College and Merrimack College to continue accumulating his number to reach new heights. If all goes as planned, the anthem total would be another Recordsetter.com world record for a five-year period and would be a fifth world record for St.Louis.

He is also on track to set a sixth record for the most anthems in one year, hoping to break the current record of 325 performances. He is always looking for new opportunities to share his talent and would love to sing for some new events in the area. – including the New England Patriots.
