Merrimack officials announce Time Capsule project
MERRIMACK — The town and the Rotary Club of Merrimack recently announced the launch of the Merrimack Time Capsule project.
This historic collaboration aims to preserve the current vibrant culture and history of Merrimack for generations to come. The capsule is scheduled for installation this fall and will remain sealed for 250 years.
Organizers are inviting all residents and business owners to participate in shaping this legacy project. Starting now, residents can share their ideas for what should be included inside the capsule by completing the official MTC Survey at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdfkwMhpbXIZUq0c68pL94ROgJIOuh2IIfL3gkqe7I-YL16CA/viewform?pli=1&fbzx=7605230803519157766. The survey seeks input on modern artifacts, photographs, messages and cultural items that best represent life in Merrimack today.
The survey is also available on the Time Capsule Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1010665744816383 with physical copies accessible at select town buildings. Additional details regarding the exact installation date, location, and further community participation opportunities will be released in the coming weeks.
“This project is a unique bridge between our current community and the residents of Merrimack two and a half centuries from now,” said Neil Anketell, a Project Committee representative. “We want every voice in town to be part of this legacy, and the survey is the first step in making that happen.”
