MERRIMACK – Sprinkles. Bingo. Syrup. Raffles. Cherries. Music. Mix ’em all together and whaddaya got? You have the Merrimack High School Class of 2028 Second Annual Community Ice Cream Social, a festive party presented Sept. 29 in the cafeteria of the school located at 38 McElwain St.
“The Class of 2028 has been working hard this year to fundraise and we love to include the community,” said Anthony Pelletier, junior class president.
“We thank all of our sponsors and everyone who supported us, including the guests from last year’s first annual event, who joined us again this year,” he added.
The team of seven class officers serving up the treats included juniors Anthony Pelletier, class president, Liam Spano, student representative, Mia Medlock, secretary, and Lillyana Cruz, vice president, along with Cayden Fredette, student representative, and Everett Walker, treasurer and public relations office representative.
The team loaded up cups of vanilla provided for patrons by event sponsor Hayward’s Ice Cream. Guests added their favorite toppings — strawberry syrup, chocolate syrup, multi-colored sprinkles, chocolate chips, Maraschino Cherries and other accoutrements surely expectant of a spritz of whipped cream.

Throughout the evening, junior class musicians Abbottt Davis and Sam Greenspan performed on their instruments from a spacious stage at the far end of the cafeteria. Davis slid some tunes from his trombone while Greenspan added melodies on his electric guitar.
Recipients indulged in their treats at tables decorated with balloons. Nearby, an intricate balloon arch with side columns depicting ice cream cones was a creation of Gilded Parlor Balloon, an event sponsor easily accessible on Facebook.
Other sponsors well thanked include Jok’s Auto Sales & Services, Inc., Apple Blossoms Child Center and The Neat and Tidy Space, along with Wildcat Falls Early Learning Center.
Pelletier noted that upcoming events will be well publicized on social media and elsewhere.
