MERRIMACK – Samuel Robie, 43, of Chester, and Scottie Collier, 44, were taken into custody on July 14 for allegedly having outstanding arrest warrants.

According to the Merrimack Police Department, officers responded to a home looking for Robie and Chester. As officers approached the house, Robie and Collier ran inside to avoid arrest. After 30 minutes, Collier surrendered and was followed by Robie a short time later.

Robie was wanted in Hillsborough and Strafford counties while Collier was wanted by Merrimack Police and Hillsborough County.

Collier’s Merrimack warrant stems from a traffic stop on June 17 when he reportedly gave police a false identity. After learning his true identity, officers also discovered that Collier had been a habitual offender since 2007.

Robie has been charged with resisting arrest or detention and violating his probation. Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $2,000.
