Drunk Colebrook woman arrested in Merrimack

MERRIMACK – Lisa Worster, 58, of Colebrook, was taken into custody on Aug. 21 for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
According to the Merrimack Police Department, officers responded to Wire Road just before noon. They were told that Worster had struck a number of signs and was stuck in a sign post. The caller also said Worster fell on her face while getting out of the vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers found Worster on Hillside Terrace. They attempted to pull her over; however, she reportedly refused to stop.
Police caught up with her a short time later when she was stopped in traffic on Baboosic Lake Road. Worster allegedly refused to get out of the vehicle and had to be removed.
She has been charged with disobeying an officer, aggravated DWI, resisting arrest or detention and conduct after an accident.
She was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack District Court on Aug. 24.
Under state law, if convicted, Worster could face up to four years in prison, up to $8,000 in fines and having her driver’s license suspended for up to two years.
