Betty J. Jenkins
Betty J. Jenkins, 46, resident of Goffstown, NH, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Sept. 23, 2016, at her home.
She was born in Morristown, N.J., on Nov. 25, 1969, a daughter of Irwin and Margaret (Holman) Jenkins. She was raised and educated in Amherst, and graduated from MASH, Class of 1989 and then attended Fairwood Bible Institute in Dublin, NH.
Betty attended Milford First Baptist Church and worked at the A&P supermarket while in high school and later worked at Shaw’s and Hitchiner Manufacturing Company, Milford. For the past 8 years, Betty was employed as an LNA at Crestwood Healthcare Center in Milford and greatly enjoyed spending time with her residents at the nursing home.
She enjoyed needlework, baking, bingo, and collecting Coke memorabilia, but her greatest love was being a mom for her son.
In addition to her parents of Amherst, family members include her son, Jeremiah Willey of Goffstown; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Robert Barton of Manchester; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. at New Hope Christian Fellowship, 292 Route 101, Bedford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to New Hope Christian Fellowship, Attn: Alan Goedecke, Treasurer, 16 Greyrock Road, Bedford, NH 03110.
