James F. Hicks, 78 Jim died suddenly Wednesday, February 26th. Jim was born in Boston, MA. He lived in Milford, Mont Vernon and Hillsborough, NH through the years. He permanently moved to Englewood Florida after several years of spending winters in Florida and summers in New Hampshire.

Jim was married to his high school sweetheart, Jeraldine “Jeri” (Flandreau) for 60 years. Jim worked at Sanders Associates in Nashua for 36 years in the Electronics division. His parents (Fred and Barbara) owned Hicks Jewelers which Jim and Jeri took over and ran for many years prior to their retirement in 2003. Jim was known for his sense of humor, his love of the ocean and most of all his love for his family. He deeply valued Sunday dinners, always leading the charge to make sure everyone in the family who possibly could make it, would make it. And phone calls to his children were frequent, always interested in what was going on in everyone’s lives.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Jeri, his two sons, Donald and his wife June of North Port, Florida, and James and his wife Christine of New Durham, NH. His grandchildren Randy Hicks of Port Charlotte, Florida and Abigail and Victoria Hicks of New Durham, NH. Jim is predeceased by his grandson Ryan Hicks.
