Donna L. Thomas

MILFORD – Donna L. Thomas, 74, resident of Milford, NH died on October 17, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Nashua, NH on June 3, 1946, a daughter of William and Helen (LaTulippe) Farnsworth. She made her home in Milford for the past 14 years and formerly lived in Brookline, NH for 36 years.

Donna had been employed for NexDine Corporation, where she was a baker at Bishop Guertin High School for many years.

She was an avid quilter for over 40 years where she made many friends, spending weekends creating beautiful pieces she loved to make and give away. She and a few friends created The BBJOD’s Quilt Group and spent many wonderful times together. She was a member of the Squannacook Colonial Quilting Guild, Friends of the Library, Wadleigh Memorial Library. In her earlier years, she was a Girl Scout Leader and after retiring, she enjoyed working at Serendipity in Milford.

Donna was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford and was active in the church, serving on the Liturgy Committee and as a Eucharistic Minister.

She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, great grandmother and she adored and cherished each and every one of them.

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael J. Thomas, who died in 2019.

Family members include three daughters, Beth Johns-Thomas and her wife, Donna of Milford, Kristen Marcum and her husband Chad, and Katherine Weston and her husband, Keith, all of Brookline, NH; a son, Michael Thomas and his wife, Lisa of Salisbury, NC; eight grandchildren, Harry Thomas and his wife, Emily, Amber Bennett and her husband, Taylor, Jordan Thomas, Serena Thomas, Seth LaVallee, Celene Johns-Thomas, Shane Marcum and Ella Marcum; five great grandchildren, Olivia LaVallee, Ava Thomas, Harry Thomas, Jr, Colton Bennett and Wesley Bennett; a brother William Farnsworth and his wife, Joanne of Pepperell, MA; a brother-in-law, Steve Thomas and his wife, Cindy of Venice, FL; a sister-in-law, Deborah Locklin and her husband, Lloyd of Winter Haven, FL.

Calling hours are on Tuesday, October 20th from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. John Neumann Church, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brookline. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be made to Share Outreach, Inc., 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055.
