APOPKA, FLORIDA – Roland Joseph Sousa, 73, of Apopka, FL., formerly of Milford, NH, died Saturday, April 10, 2021 after a long illness.

He was born on October 14, 1947 in Lawrence, MA., the son of the late George Sr. and June (Yelland) Sousa. Roland worked for over 24 years for the town of Milford, retiring in 2006 as Building Manager of the Milford Town Hall. A lover of cats, he was known for bringing his pet cat with him to work daily. He also enjoyed camping and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary (Wheeler) Sousa of Apopka, FL., his son, Timothy Sousa and his wife Wendy of Apopka, FL., three grandchildren; Samantha, Daniel and Brandon, all of Apopka, FL. and one great grandchild, Carley, also of Apopka. Two sisters, June Monahan and husband Don of Westfield, MA, Carole Sancoff and husband Peter of Sandown, NH, and brother George Sousa Jr. of Derry, NH. Predeceased by his brother Paul Sousa.

Memorial services will be private.
