Edward Charles Lemire

Edward Charles Lemire, 81, of Sahuarita Arizona, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by family on Sunday June 20th 2021 after a blessedly short battle with lung cancer.

Born to Leo and Aileen Lemire in March of 1940 in Greenville NH, Ed spent the foremost part of his life living in Wilton and Nashua New Hampshire. He attended Wilton High School where he began serving our country in the Army Reserves, going on to marry Nancy Fletcher Lemire on January 9th, 1960. After graduating High School Ed went on to further serve our country proudly in the United States Marine Corp for four years. After fulfilling his commitments to the U.S. Military, he spent the next 35 years working for Lockheed/Martin as a short haul truck driver and then executive chauffer. Upon retiring in 2000, he and Nancy moved to a retirement community in Sahuarita, AZ enjoying wonderful times with family and close friends.

Ed was truly loved by all that knew him. His reputation was that of a kind, humble, quiet man who was a wonderful husband, terrific father and loyal friend. He was the quintessential renaissance man who did his best to emulate the Marine Corp Code of Semper Fidelis and lived as a generous and honorable man. In Ed’s his final days, many a family and friend reminded him of their love and gratitude.

Honoring his life of this side of heaven is wife Nancy, son Mark and his wife Denise, Jamie and wife Kate along with grandchildren Hailey, Kendall and Cole Lemire.

A Memorial Service will be held in Wilton New Hampshire, in lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude’s Hospital for children.
