Fleurette Y. Laquerre

Fleurette Y. Laquerre, 94, resident of Milford, NH, died on June 12, 2021 at Ledgewood Bay Memory Care @ Milford.

Fleurette was born in Somersworth, NH on March 25, 1927, daughter of Wilfred & Laura (Dumont) Boudreau. She was raised and educated in Nashua, NH. She resided in Milford for 58 years.

She began working at the Nashua Mills on the looms where she met and married her loving husband, Normand V. Laquerre who recently passed September 2, 2020. Together they built their own home in Hudson, NH in 1949 until they bought 33 acres of land in Milford in 1962 where they built their last home together made almost entirely of granite they found in old dry quarries on their land. This home was their pride and joy.

Fleurette worked during the course of her life at the Nashua Mills on the looms, Raytheon on the assembly line, Goode Plastics of Milford, and lastly Hitchiner Manufacturing in Milford as an assembler. In 1964, she was proud to have worked on high conductivity copper castings that were part of the propulsion systems that took Apollo astronauts to the moon!

Fleur was incredibly talented. She created the most beautiful pottery, decorative art painting, sewed all her own clothes, crocheted, excellent cook & baker and an avid gardener of vegetables and flowers. She created all she did to perfection. We are all proud and miss our mom, grandmother & great grandmother greatly.

While residing at her assisted living residences, she so enjoyed watching all the birds at the feeders. It gave her peace. We were always told how the nurses/aides loved her sweet smile and her pleasant personality.

Fleurette was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Milford, NH.

Fleurette is survived by two beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Suesan and John Yeager of Hollis, NH and Louise and Jim Bruland of Fernandina Beach, FL; four grandchildren Jeff and Greg Yeager, and Matthew and Jessica Bruland; five great grandchildren Etta, Poppy, Cale, Layla and Jimmy. Also survived by her brother, Bruno Boudreau of Nashua, NH and two sisters, Rolande Goldman & Mona Ricard both in Florida with many nieces & nephews.

A memorial mass will be celebrated for family and friends on Friday, August 13th at 11:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. A private burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua, NH.
