MILFORD – Jeanette A. Lamontagne, 96, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died on July 12, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Epsom, NH on April 10, 1925, a daughter of the late Louis A. and Florence (Small) Demers. Jeanette graduated from Pembroke Academy, Pembroke, NH, Class of 1943 and later moved to Milford where she has made her home for the past 70 years.

Jeanette had worked as a kindergarten teacher for Souhegan Valley Christian Kindergarten for 17 years. In addition, she was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Milford and AARP Souhegan Valley Chapter.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harold “Red” Lamontagne; her daughter, Susan K. Martin; her sister, Kathleen N. Demers; and her brother, Robert F. Demers.

Family members include her son, David Lamontagne of Milford, NH; two grandchildren, Tim Martin, and Paul Martin and his wife Trisha; two great grandchildren, Emilee Martin and Gavin Martin.

Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Milford Firemen’s Relief Association, 39 School Street, Milford, NH 03055.
