Delbert W. ‘Del’ Porter

BROOKLINE – Delbert W. “Del” Porter, 97, lifelong resident of Brookline, NH, died on August 17, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH.

He was born in Revere, MA on September 13, 1923, a son of Delbert W. and Jennet (Scott) Porter. He graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1942 and was drafted into the U.S. Navy in 1943, serving aboard the USS Warren in the Pacific Theatre.

Del had been employed by Bedders Construction, later becoming Nashua Sand & Gravel for more than 30 years.

After his retirement, he enjoyed working on tractors and at the saw mill in Hollis with his nephew, and also shared many winters with his wife in Florida.

Del was a member of the Kilduff Wirtanen American Legion Post #74, Brookline, the Brookline Historical Society, and Benevolent Lodge #7 F & AM, Milford.

Family members include his loving wife of 76 years, Rogene (Reynolds) Porter of Brookline; several nieces and nephews.
