Margaret A. McEntee

Margaret A. McEntee, 92, longtime resident of Lyndeborough, NH died in the early morning hours of January 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 22, 1931 in Amherst, NH, a daughter of the late Earl and Olive (Hill) Bullard.

Margaret or Peg, Meggie and Mrs. McEntee as she was known to most was raised and educated locally in the Milford School system, graduating from Milford High School class of 1949. Following high school Peg went on to attend Keene State College where she obtained her bachelor’s in education in 1953.

She married James P. McEntee of Milford on June 26, 1954. Together they made their home in Milford for a few years before finally settling in Lyndeborough on her family’s farm. Peg worked for many years a teacher in the local Milford and Wilton School systems and also had a small in-home kindergarten she ran for nine years.

Peg had many hobbies and interests outside of work; she was a longtime member of the Dogwood reservation club, Lyndeborough Gatherers, bowling league in Milford and the Red Hat society to name a few. But what brought her the most joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many snow days at Meggie and Bumpa’s, trips to Maine and the toy store to name a few. We all will miss her, but we know she is at peace and resting comfortably now.

In addition to her parents, Peg was predeceased by her loving husband James P. McEntee in 2021 and her brother, Earl A.“Buzz” Bullard Jr.

Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Christine McEntee of Wilton, NH, Thomas and Sarah McEntee of Amherst, NH, grandchildren, Austin McEntee of Boston, MA, Laura (Timmy) St. John of New Ipswich, NH and Devin (Hannah) McEntee of Lyndeborough, NH, her great grandchildren, Josh, Leah, Jacob and James St. John and Ellie McEntee, her two sisters, Pauline Brown of Lyndeborough, NH and Carolyn Sebastiano of Florida and several nieces’ nephews and cousins.
