John William ‘Sonny’ Beaulieu

Sunday, March 5th, marked the passing of John William “Sonny” Beaulieu of Grantham, NH. Sonny was born December 13,1947 in Van Buren, Aroostook County, Maine. He was the eldest son of John L. and Geraldine (Poitras) Beaulieu. He was predeceased by his parents and his youngest brother, James. Sonny leaves his loving wife, Diane (Bellew) Beaulieu, whom he cherished, and his dear brother, Robert Beaulieu and wife Linda Mosure, of San Clemente, CA.

Sonny graduated from Van Buren District High School in 1966 and received his BA from St. Michael’s College in Winooski, VT and MPA from University of Maine, Orono. He began his career in restaurant management, primarily in Boston, MA and in Portland, ME. Sonny later found his niche in sales with Toyota Automotive and in Real Estate, where his passion for helping people shone brightly.

Sonny was an enthusiastic golfer and a lifelong fan of all Boston sports. Having had respect for a good Cabernet, Sonny enjoyed many vacations to wineries in California and France.

Sonny is remembered by friends as an avid storyteller with a remarkable recollection for the minutiae. His stories and writings were epic. Most importantly, Sonny will be remembered as a loving and caring soul, who was loyal to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10:00am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH.
