Carol A. Gibbons

Carol A. Gibbons, 76, lifelong resident of Milford, NH, died on September 16, 2023 in Boston, MA.

She was born in Nashua, NH on March 16, 1947, a daughter of the late John E. and Claire (Rossi) Bellew. Carol graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1965.

She enjoyed being outside gardening and picking flowers at Trombly Gardens where she had worked for several years. In addition, she had also worked alongside her daughter at her clothing boutique, Lorrie’s Fashions in Nashua, NH. Carol was an exceptional baker and was known for her delicious cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed working on crafts and playing bingo. Most especially, her life was spent caring for her family, raising her girls and doting on her grandson.

Carol was a devout Catholic and a lifelong communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford.

She was predeceased by her husband, Allan E. Gibbons, who died in 1985; and her brother, Andrew Bellew.

Family members include her two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Lorrie and Carl Castelli, and Kelly and Kent Sheldon, all of Milford; her precious grandson whom she adored, Kasey Sheldon and his companion, Whitney Horak of Milford; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marie Reilly of Greenfield, NH, Kathy and Barry Stickney of Milford, NH; a sister-in-law, Nancy Quinn Bellew of Milford; several nieces and nephews, Keith Bellew, Heather Stickney, Jonathan Stickney, Michael, Jennifer, Jeffrey and Hannah Reilly, Jessica Cody and Travis Bellew.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 23rd at 10:00am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. The family asks that flowers be omitted and please consider a donation to New Hampshire SPCA, P.O.
