Wilene C. Knight age 92 of Amherst, New Hampshire passed away peacefully at her home on June 14, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Burton S. Knight. In her last day, she was surrounded by family members including her three children, Susan Molitor, Christine Coombs, Bradford Knight and cousin Alicia Wight. She is survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Wilene had a broad variety of interests. A graduate of Tufts University and UNH masters degree program, she served as guidance counselor in the Mont Vernon school system. She raised flowers and vegetables, goats and sheep. She restored old houses and maintained rental properties. She loved to spin the wool from her sheep and knit beautiful sweaters for her family, friends and those who needed a warm addition to their wardrobe. Her enthusiasm for life and new projects to be accomplished was unending. She and her husband Burton were lifelong members of the Uniting Church of Christ and the Amherst Congregational Church. A private memorial service is planned.
