Spartan doubles delivers

In a hotly-contested battle, Sabrina Brown and Kami Peterson struck the decisive shots for the Spartans, winning at third doubles, 8-6, to clinch the 5-4 match over St. Thomas. Grace Carpenter, Leslie MacGrath and Katie Brown posted singles wins. Carpenter combined with Sydney Kolasinski at first doubles for the other Spartan point. Milford is 5-1.

Goffstown 5, Souhegan 4

The Sabers battled Goffstown to the bitter end, folling in a heartbreaker to drop to 2-3. Lila Morgan dominated the top singles spot, while Lily Hipp and Izzy Blume also posted singles wins.

Softball

Milford 15, Windham 5

Jenna DeAngelis struck out 15 and allowed only five hits in the Spartans (4-0) win. Abby Stillwagons went 3 for 4 with four RBIs and Raven Comtois went 2 for 4 with three RBIs. Steph Bishop, Paige Delier, and Shanon Harbison had two hits a piece.

Baseball

ConVal 4, Milford 3

Tyler Gendron took the loss in a heart-breaker, going all six innings, allowing nine hits and striking out four. He also had an RBI with a sacrifice fly. Max Fortin went 2-for-3 at the plate. Dom Palmisano and Trevor Coyne both had doubles. The Spartans were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error but fell to 1-4 on Tuesday.

Boys Lacrosse

Coe-Brown 12, Milford 11

Trailing 10-5 through three quarters, Milford posted a furious rally, scoring six goals in the fourth. The Spartans came up just short and fell to 2-2. Gavin Urda had four goals and an assist, while Cam O’Shaughnessy had three goals and an assist, while Riley O’Shaughnessy and Owen Hutchinson each added a pair of goals. Liam Joyner helped with two assists while Matt Hannon and Jakob Fantasia had an assist each. Tom Gagnon was hot in the net with 14 saves.

Girls Lacrosse

Souhegan 18, Dover 1

The Sabers are now 10-0 after Brigid Casey led the way with three goals and five assists.

Taylor Clark also had a hat trick with an assist.

Othes in the Souhegan scoring column were: Savannah Behn (two goals, three assists), Abby Hawkes (two goals, two assists), Taylor Dudek and Clare Woodford (two goals, one assist each), O’Neill Galinson (two goals), Abby Cranney (goal, assist) and Hannah Rowe (single goal). Alex LaBrosse had four saves in the Saber net.

Outdoor Track

Coe-Brown Invitational

Both the Milford High and Souhegan High outdoor track teams headed to Coe-Brown’s Black Bear Invitational Meet.

For Milford, William Shepard won the pole vault event, clearing 12-6 on his first try. Lauren Robinson finished second in the girls 3200 meter run (11:21.25) and Robyn Krafft placed third in the girls discus throw.

For Souhegan, Georgia Jones, Marissa Romano, Jane Leighton, and Elise Lambert won the girls 4×800 meter relay (10:05.77). Romano finished third in the 1600 meter run (5:23.14) and Lambert grabbed a second in the 800 meter run (2:22.18).
