Sabers shine in lacrosse All-Star game
HANOVER – New Hampshire enjoyed a two-game sweep Saturday in the Byrne Cup Twin State All-Star lacrosse games held at Hanover High School.
Area players had plenty to do with the Granite State success.
In the girls game, it was New Hampshire over Vermont, 17-10.
Souhegan’s Brigid Casey led the way, scoring four goals with one assists.
Her Saber classmate, McKenzie Robinson pitched in a goal and two assists, as did recent Bishop Guertin grad Katie Lupo.
Another Cardinal, Grace Young, made five stops in a half of action in goal.
In the boys game, it was New Hampshire dominating by a 19-7 count.
BG’s Sam Prunier scored a pair of goals with two assists. Teammate Drew Hailey also scored a goal.
Nashua South middie Devin Linscott chipped in a goal and a pair of
assists.
