Colby-Sawyer College’s Brittany Ireland had a dynamite week on the lacrosse field.

The senior from Amherst was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the Chargers, who went 2-0 in that span, each against conference opponents.

Ireland scored eight goals and dished out six assists total, adding six ground ball scoops, six draw controls and a trio of forced turnovers.

Ireland had opened the week with five goals and two assists in a 17-10 win over Norwich. She followed that with three goals and four assists in a 15-4 win over Rivier.

Ireland is now seventh on the Chargers’ all-time assist list with 42 in her career.
