Saber baseballers raising their game

Souhegan 5, Pelham 3: The Sabers (5-6) move up the win column in a rain shortened contest. Daniel Trzepacz (RBI) and Sam Corbett (RBI) showed their quick feet stealing three and two bases respectively. Kyan Bagshaw secured his first varsity hit and contributed three runs. Jacob Grassett struck out seven in five innings for the win.

The Warriors (9-3) took a tough loss on the road Monday night. Neal Brennan hit a RBI single to take an early lead, before the Lakers took control.

Milford 12,

Merrimack Valley 8

The Spartans (11-0) stay perfect after knocking in 17 hits on the day. After scoring six runs in the second inning, both teams went back and forth, until Milford scored five in the fourth to open up the game. Jenna DeAngelis picked up her 11th win, while striking out eight. Raven Comtois (two runs), Amanda Atkinson (four RBIs) and Ally Fortin (two runs scored) to help out the offense. DeAngelis and Abby Stillwagon had two hits and two RBIs a piece, while Abby Sites knocked in three RBIs.

The Sabers (8-2) Cameron Whitney struck out eight and blanked the Pythons. Jenna Speer got the Souhegan on the board with a two run double and Carrie Speer mirrored with another two run double. Ava Vanballegooyen hit a two run home run in the sixth, putting the game out of reach.
