Milford gets 3 individual wins

Indoor Track: Milford High saw three individual winners on their way to a third place finish in the Team State Pentathlon competition in the afternoon session at UNH on Sunday.

Portsmouth’s A team was first and Pinkerton Academy placed second with the Spartans in third.

Leslie MacGrath won the high jump, clearing 5-3. Renee Wilson traveled 16-5.75 to claim the long jump, and Robyn Krafft (34-5) was atop the heap in the shot put.

Merrimack’s “A” group took 10th and Nashua South was 15th.

At the East Coast Invitational in Providence, R.I., Milford’s MacGrath won the high jump at 5-4, Renee Wilson placed fourth in the long jump, Olivia Vogel took sixth in the pole vault and Emmanuel Ughu took eighth in shot put. Chloe Truedel from Souhegan ran runner up in the mile.

Amanda Ulicny took wins in the 500 free (5:12.58) and the 100 fly (1:00.52) at the Keene State Invitational. Alexa Leary won in the backstroke (1:13.50) and came in third in the 100 fly. Hunter Daily was runner up in the 100 breaststroke and Felicity Howard came in the third in the 100 breaststroke.

The Admirals (2-5) lost their third straight game Saturday afternoon. Hayden Ricard, Zach Greer and Zachary Sabetti (first career goal) each found the back of the net.

Matt McCool’s 17 second half points (24 total points) helps boost the Sabers (4-1) past Coe-Brown. Mike Maroun recorded a double double tallying 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Girls Basketball

The visiting Cougars outscored Milford 41-7 in the second half to coast to a Division II win over the Spartans. Sarah Dobbs had a team high nine points for the Spartans.

The Sabers drop to 2-5 after their road loss. Devon McGrath paced had a team high six points and Halle VanBallegooyen had a great night on defense recording five blocks.
